How to Play Children’s Games
1. Musical Chairs
- Have chairs in the form of a circle, and one chair fewer than the number of players.
- Play music as your children walk around the chairs.
- When the music stops, everyone sits down straight away.
- A seatless child is lost. Each round, lose one chair.
- Play until there is one child left as a winner
2. Simon Says
- Select a child or an adult to be the one to be called “Simon.”
- Simon says something like “Touch your toes,” and the rest of the participants do just that.
- Children are only to obey commands that start with Simon says.
- The person who obeys orders without Simon says is out.
- Do this until only one child is left, who is the next Simon.
3. Duck, Duck, Goose
- Children are in a circle and facing each other.
- The children walk around the circle prodding heads and saying the words duck to every person.
- They choose a child with the words “goose,” and once the child is running after them, they say he/she is the goose.
- When the walker arrives at the empty place safely, he/she pass on the village to the goose.
- Repeat until the turn of each child has come.
4. Pin the Tail on the Donkey
- Users should hang a donkey poster on the wall.
- Cut the cellophane tail with 2-sided tape or a pin.
- Blindfold the children and spin.
- Bring the child further to the poster to hopefully attach the tail.
- The prize is given to the child who is nearest to the right place in the tail.
5. Hot Potato
- Children sit in a circle, and the ball or some other soft object is passed as music plays.
- When the music is stopped, the child in possession of the so-called potato is out.
- Resume the music and come back with the object.
- Keep repeating until one child is left.
- The surviving child is the winner.
