Steps to Play Party Game for Adults
1. Truth or Drink
- Draw Names and Drinks: Arrange yourself in a circle and have enough drinks to go around.
- Prepare Questions: You can use a deck of cards, an app, or create your own with fun and personal types of questions.
- Rules: players are given the option of responding truthfully or taking a shot or sip when they are not willing to speak the truth.
- Take Turns: Each of the players selects a question and poses it to another player. This player makes a choice whether to answer or drink.
- Play Till Exhausted: Play until each of the players has taken several turns or until drinks are depleted. Optional: Add dares to have more fun.
2. Never Have I Ever
- Collect Drinks & People: The players sit around in a circle with their glasses.
- How to play: Someone says, “Never have I ever…” in the game, followed by something that they have never done (e.g., “…gone skydiving”).
- It makes players react: Anyone who has done that takes a drink.
- Turns: Turn clockwise so that everyone can make a statement.
- Staying On Balance: Make up your mind whether you need PG, or want laughs, or be an actual adult first.
3. Murder Mystery
- Select a Theme & Plan: Select a theme (e.g., 1920s, haunted mansion), and give your cast members character backgrounds.
- Assign characters: the role, secrets, and objectives in advance.
- Set your Stage: Dress and provide props to support the theme. Explain to everyone the rules.
- You Start the Game: The host announces the murder, and players, using questions and asserting clues, start to collaborate.
- Reveal & Vote: There is a time interval after which all the members guess who the murderer is. After that, the murderer exposes the self.
4. Charades (Adult Edition)
- Divide in Teams: Divide into two or more teams.
- Write on slips of paper phrases, movies, or issues on adult themes.
- Countdown timer: Normally 60 seconds each round.
- Act It Out: The students select a slip and perform the words in their own way without speaking or without letters.
- Score and switch: Teams get a point each time they make the right guess. A switch is turned until some number of rounds are surpassed.
5. Cards Against Humanity
- Draw Cards: The players draw 10 white cards (answers). The Black cards (prompts) are in a different pack.
- Pick a Card Czar: The Czar pulls a black card and reads the prompt.
- Each player will select what they consider to be the funniest card in their hand, and this will be submitted face down.
- Questions & Answers: The Czar deals out the responses and reads aloud as he chooses the funniest. Such a player scores 1 point.
- Rotate Czar & Continue: Play until someone has gained a certain agreed number of points or you stop.
